MLCs promise all help to part-time lecturers in regularisation of services

‘We will raise the issue in Legislative Council meeting’

MLCs Ramu Surya Rao and Adireddy Apparao have promised to raise the issue of regularising the services of part-time lecturers working in aided colleges in the Legislative Council meeting.

Speaking at the State Aided Colleges Association meeting here on Saturday, Mr. Apparao said that he will take up the issue to the notice of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. He also assured that he will hold discussions with the representatives of the State Aided Colleges’ Part-time Lecturers’ Association within 10 days. Mr. Ramu Surya Rao said that all the part-time lecturers have been working with meagre salaries. He called upon them fight unitedly on the issue. State general secretary of the association P.V.B. Sanjeeva Rao, who presided over the meeting, appealed to the government to respond positively and regularise their jobs.

The association elected new executive body for the year 2017-2018 during the meeting. Mr. Sanjeeva Rao was elected as State convener, G.S. Ramesh as State president, M. Rajkumar as co-convener and Sundararamaiah as district president. Telangana association founder president M. Yadagiri participated in this meeting.
