A minor incident is being blown out of proportion by the YSR Congress, says Minister

Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana on Wednesday took strong objection to what he described as misinformation campaign by the YSR Congress leaders on the issue of water leak into the chamber of Opposition Leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the State Legislative Assembly in Amaravati.

Terming it a minor incident that was resolved in no time, he said the Opposition leaders were blowing it out of proportion only with an ulterior motive of sabotaging the construction of a grand capital city for the unjustly separated Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the media here, Mr. Narayana said a negligible quantity of water leaked out of the cut pipe and this was immediately attended to.

“The meanness of the YSRC leaders is exposed here. Now it seems that there is a deliberate attempt to cut the pipe and cause water leak to tarnish the image of Amaravati,” he said.

Stating that from the beginning the Opposition leaders were unhappy over the many successes of the government, Mr. Narayana said the successful completion of basic infrastructure to start functioning of the Assembly and Secretariat from the new capital seemed to have thoroughly embarrassed the YSRC leadership.

Mr. Narayana reiterated that they would not be cowed by the misinformation campaign and the construction of the capital city would be continued and completed with greater commitment.
