August 31, 2013 03:09 am | Updated November 16, 2021 09:19 pm IST - KURNOOL:

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders have demanded the resignation of Congress Ministers to bring pressure on the Central government to withdraw the bifurcation proposal.

The TDP leaders and cadres, who attended the general body meeting of the district unit here on Friday, organised rasta-roko at the checkpost and shouted slogans. They said the public would not pardon the Congress Ministers if they turned a deaf ear to the public anguish. MLA and politburo member K.E. Krishna Murthy alleged conspiracy by the Congress to create unrest in the State in order to weaken the TDP. He said the TRS and the YSR Congress were party to the larger conspiracy wherein all three joined hands to cause disturbance in the State to usurp power once again.

He said the Congress leaders could not blame TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu who had given only mandate to set things right and take an appropriate decision that would benefit the public. On the other hand, the Congress party belied the trust reposed by the people and the opposition parties and created a mess in the State.
