Minister rules out privatisation of RTC

Minister for Road Transport Siddha Raghava Rao said on Tuesday the State government had no intention of privatising the RTC and hoped that the persistent performance by RTC personnel would put in back on track. The Minister was addressing a meeting after giving awards to the Best HSD KMPL drivers, who had achieved maximum savings through achieving maximum kilometers per litre, in Guntur.Managing Director of APSRTC N. Sambasiva Rao said uld give utmost priority to the welfare of personnel.As many as 13 drivers from all the districts of the State were felicitated with a merit certificate of appreciation and a cash award of Rs.1,000 each besides a gift from the company. Families were also invited to join the meeting.
