Minister of civil supplies P. Sunitha on Monday said that elaborate arrangements are being made for the grand conduct of mass marriages by the Paritala Ravindra Memorial Trust on April 21.
Speaking to media after offering prayers at the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara, Ms. Sunitha said that about 300 couples will be taking part in the prestigious programme. Articles associated with the programme such as Mangala sutrams and Mettelu which will be distributed among the couples entering into the nuptial knot have been placed at the feet of the presiding deity seeking his divine blessings. The programme also has the approval of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, she said.
