As the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is all set to form the government with party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao as the Chief Minister, it is certain that he would resign from Medak Lok Sabha seat.
Now that the picture is clear and the wave is in favour the party, many leaders in the TRS are aspiring for the seat. While some of them were assured about the ticket reportedly by Mr. Rao himself, others are betting on promises they were give even before elections.
Those expecting nomination from the party side include former legislator M. Hanumantha Rao, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, former IAS officer Ramanachari, party district unit president R. Satyanarayana, among others. All are betting on the winning of all seven Assembly constituencies under the limits of Lok Sabha seat and feel that it would be a cake walk to enter the highest House in the country.

On the other hand, reports are coming in that former legislator from Sangareddy T. Jayaprakash Reddy may join the BJP, which came to power on its own. He was not new to the party and he had started his career with that party as a councillor and then municipal chairman.
According to sources close to Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy, he is already in touch with the BJP leaders, in addition to roping in actor-turned politician Pavan Kalyan in this regard.
“It is clear that minorities have voted against Mr. Jayaprakash Reddy and it may continue for some more time. Then there is no meaning in continuing in the Congress. That is why he has decided to change the party,” said a close follower of Mr. Reddy.
