International Literacy Day was celebrated at the Acharya Nagarjuna University PG campus here on Thursday.
The National Social Service volunteers who took up a literacy programme in the adopted slum of Pragatinagar here were honoured on the occasion. The students had contributed their mite in reducing the dropout rate from schools by weaning children away from work in the targeted habitation.NSS Programme Officer Harsha Preetham Dev Kumar spoke.
