Kuppam to have 4G facilities soon

A team from Reliance conducts survey to identify locations for installation of network towers. The team visited six locations Gram Panchayat office, Dravidian University, Industrial township, PES Medical College, Government Junior College and TTD Kalyana Mandapam.

Kuppam Assembly constituency, which is represented by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is all set to have 4G facilities soon. Mr. Naidu has entrusted the project of setting up of the towers and communication network to the Reliance.

After due consultations with the Chief Minister, a high-level team of the Reliance comprising its State general manager A.V. Rao and deputy manager Manoj Bhaskaran, along with communication network experts, reached Kuppam on Sunday and took up survey for identifying towers.

The team visited six locations Gram Panchayat office, Dravidian University, Industrial township, PES Medical College, Government Junior College and TTD Kalyana Mandapam. According to the preliminary information, the towers would be set up in the next 45 days.

The team members observed that 4G facility would boost telecommunications, which in turn would help people update themselves about the job opportunities available in the domestic and overseas markets.

It may be noted that during Naidu’s previous tenure as Chief Minister, when the cell phone industry was in its early stages, the Reliance came out with a special offer for customers exclusively in Kuppam area and offered mobile handset at a down payment of Rs. 500.
