Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy, District Congress Committee president and MLC is likely to join YSR Congress Party in a couple of days, according to his close aides on Wednesday.
It was learnt that YSRC leadership was in touch with him and reportedly offered him a Cabinet post, if it forms the government. Mr. Swamy had unsuccessfully contested against TDP polit bureau member P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju in 1989, 94, 99 and 2009. Following differences with Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana, he split the DCC vertically in 2004, contested against TDP leader P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju as an independent, and defeated him in a triangular contest.
