Ruling Congress has launched a three-cornered attack on its two arch rivals -- YSRCP president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu at Tirupati on Friday in its run up to the by-election to the seat.
All the three top rung leaders of the party - Chief Minister N. Kirankumar Reddy, PCC President, Botcha Sathyanarayana and Congress Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi made a blistering attack on the two in course of their massive joint road-show in the temple city.
The Chief Minister's diatribe at Jagan was more strident wherein he indirectly accused him of ‘ganging up' with criminals and gun-runners to ‘amass wealth' and cautioned the voters of the imminent dangers of giving political power to the hands of such a person.

Perched on the roof of a bus along with the PCC chief and Mr. Chiranjeevi, Mr. Kiran Reddy sharpened his attack on Jaganmohan Reddy and asked the people to think of what would be the fate of the State if things were allowed slip into the hands of ‘some people' who had alleged links with killers, land-grabbers and extortionists as the media has been crying hoarse everyday.
In an oblique reference to Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy allegedly owning a palatial building spread over 1 lakh sq yards with nearly 90 bed-rooms, Chief Minister asked the voters whether they still believed that such a leader could really do them any good. If you vote such a man to power, you will certainly pay the price for it, he warned the voters
Kiran also blamed the current by-elections on the ‘political greed' of Jaganmohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrasekhar Rao whose no-confidence motion was the root cause for all the current political imbroglio in the State.

Turning his ire on Mr. Naidu, he dubbed him as a ‘spent force' and a ‘fake note' and charged that he was out to mislead the people with his bundle of lies to recapture power.
PCC Chief Botcha lashed at Jagan for his ‘politically avarice' to become the Chief Minister overnight using his father's legacy and by blackmailing the Congress with his media units.
Earlier addressing party workers, the Chief Minister asserted that though all the parties have set their eyes on the seat, winning the seat was privy to him, apparently because Tirupati is in his own backyard in his native Chittoor district as it is to the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu too.
He also sought to woo the party cadres by saying that their performance in the by-elections would be closely monitored and rewarded with posts and positions in government bodies.
