Kiran flags off relief material to flood-hit areas

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday flagged off four light commercial vehicles full of relief material including rice, clothes and cooking vessels to help provide succour to people in the flood-hit coastal districts.

The material was collected from philanthropists by ‘Rahul Seva’, a voluntary organisation with assistance of ‘Danam Lingamurthy Trust’. Labour Minister D. Nagender organised the collection of material and among others present were actress-turned-social activist Akkineni Amala, Member of Parliament Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Ministers Vatti Vasanth Kumar and P. Viswarup were present at the flag-off near the CM’s Camp Office, said a release from Chief Minister’s office.

Logo released

The Chief Minister released the ‘logo’ of the World Junior Table Tennis Championships-2012 at the camp office, for the competitions that would be held between December 9 and 16.

Also Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy released a brochure on the three-day International Magicians Convention to be held here on December 12. Founder president of the Magicians Academy Samala Venu informed Mr. Reddy that it would jointly conducted by the Academy and Department of Culture, at the Ravindra Bharati here.
