TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao is not keen on shifting to the Chief Minister’s camp office at Begumpet which has been allotted to him in his capacity as the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Sources said he was wary about functioning from the two-acre premises as things have not gone down well for three consecutive Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh who used the premises. Instead, he has asked his personal staff to scout for some other location.
A senior leader who has been asked to identify an alternative premises said Mr. Rao had a different opinion about the camp office. It will take some more time to take a decision as it was being studied whether modifications could be carried out to the present office to suit Mr. Rao’s stars or look for a new one.

The building was the personal choice of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy who moved into it in 2005 and stayed there till his death in 2009. His successor K. Rosaiah was not a resident of the building but often went there. He lasted in office only for a year. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy who succeeded Mr. Rosaiah faced several problems though he used the premises for three years. He bowed out of office in the most difficult times and even resigned from the Congress.
The TRS president who has abiding faith in ‘vaastu’, ‘muhurat’ and astrology has already deputed some experts to look into the vasstu aspects. They suggested some changes which were being studied. On the other hand, the police have suggested to Mr. Rao to move out of his present residence at Nandinagar as it is located in a congested lane and not ideal from the security point of view.
Mr. Rao, who is a close follower of Chinna Jeer Swamy, has also consulted the spiritual leader, sources said.
