Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chadrasekhar Rao on Sunday night left Hyderabad for Delhi to participate in the ongoing session of Parliament.

Mr. Rao was accompanied by party leaders Kadiam Srihari and G. Jagadeeshwar Reddy. Party sources stated that more senior leaders would join Mr. Rao in Delhi in the next couple of days. The TRS chief representing Mahabubnagar in the Lok Sabha is likely to stay put in Delhi till Friday, the day on which the Parliament session is likely to conclude.

His visit assumes some political significance since it was for the first time Mr. Rao is visiting Delhi after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) took the decision in favour of granting statehood to Telangana in July.
