Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has claimed that his party will form government in separate Telangana after the elections next year.
Admitting former Telugu Desam Minister Kadiam Srihari into TRS here on Wednesday, Mr. Rao told a meeting held on the occasion that the party would decimate Congress, TDP and YSR Congress in the polls to win 100 Assembly and 16 Parliamentary constituencies in the region.
Mr. Rao reiterated his assurance of making a person of Scheduled Castes as Chief Minister of Telangana State. But, he stopped short of naming any person for the post though Mr. Srihari and Station Ghanpur MLA T. Rajaiah sat by his side. Both of them are SCs.

He promised eight-hour uninterrupted power supply to the agriculture sector, 10,000 MW power generation, crop loan waiver up to Rs. one lakh a farmer, quality and compulsory education and three acres of land to SC families.
Mr. Rao appealed to the people to raise a debate in villages whether parties controlled by leaders from coastal districts were required in the region. Such parties wanted to make the people of the region subservient to them.
Praising Mr. Srihari as a man of values, the TRS president said he would ensure that the former was among the top ten in the party. He said he could not immediately tell in what capacity Mr. Srihari’s services would be utilised, but he would definitely be an important leader, much to the surprise of everyone.

Earlier, Mr. Srihari said he delayed joining the TRS because he found it difficult to part ways with the TDP which gave him political birth. He quit the party finally unable to compromise with the party’s stand opposing bifurcation of the State. He said he was joiniong the TRS to pay back to his motherland by being part of the statehood movement.
