Minister for Energy Kala Venkata Rao on Tuesday said there would not be increase in power tariff in the near future as the government could curtail the T&D losses significantly. The government’s policies and power reforms were yielding the desired result, he said. Along with MP K. Rammohan Naidu and whip K. Ravikumar, the Minister inaugurated a 33kV sub-station at Lolugu village of Amadalavalasa mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Venkata Rao said that the sub-station would help overcome low voltage problem in many villages. He said Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was keen on implementation of the second phase of power reforms.

Mr. Venkata Rao hoped the industrial progress would be rapid in the State with assured power supply. Mr. Naidu said sub-stations would ensure quality supply in the rural areas.
