The employees of the judicial department took out a protest rally and held a demonstration in Nellore city on Saturday, expressing their strong opposition to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Carrying banners and placards, the judicial employees raised slogans against the decision of the Congress Working Committee (CWC).
They appealed to the Central government to not take any hasty steps regarding the creation of a separate State as AP would develop only as a united entity.

Meanwhile, a large number of women and APNGOs took out a protest rally and formed a human chain at the Gandhi Bomma centre here as part of their continuing agitation.
The APNGOs’ leaders asserted that they were prepared to face any problems for the cause of preventing the bifurcation of the State.
District level officials and gazette officers also took part in the protests. Additional Joint Collector Ch. Penchala Reddy said that the district officials would extend support to the striking employees as the unity of the State was more important than any other aspect in the present context.

He said that all employees in Seemandhra regions were speaking in one voice against the division of the State.
The NGOs’ leaders demanded that the Seemandhra Union Ministers, State Ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs put in their resignations immediately in support of the agitation. Nearly 600 employees of the 23 residential schools have gone on strike and the employees started protest camps outside their schools to oppose the bifurcation. Women employees of the irrigation department wore black sarees and took part in the protest demonstrations.
They criticised TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and AICC president Sonia Gandhi for creating a rift between the people of different regions in the State.
The members of the United Teachers’ Front continued their relay hunger strike, which entered the 19th day on Tuesday.
