Party candidate’s nomination rejected

The Jana Sena Party drew a blank even before the elections in the high-profile Pulivendula constituency represented by YSR Congress Party president and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The nomination filed by the party’s candidate T. Chandrasekhar was rejected by the Returning Officer on Tuesday, as he had reportedly missed affixing signature in part 3 and 3A of the B-Form submitted by the party.

The final list of valid nominations for 129-Pulivendula, as released by electoral officials at the end of the day, showed Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy (YSRCP), S.V. Satish Kumar Reddy (TDP), Veluri Srinivasulu Reddy (INC), Pedaballi Sushma (BJP), Sivachandra Reddy Komma (Anna YSR Congress Party), Gavireddy Rameswara Reddy (Pyramid Party of India), A. Vijaykumar Reddy (Praja Santhi Party) and Bhaskar Reddy Rajula (Samajwadi Forward Bloc), apart from four independents.
