JNTUA students demand rollback of hike in mess bills

The students of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (JNTUA) staged a protest on Friday at the front gate of the university here demanding that the hike in mess bills be withdrawn.

Anantapur MP T. Rangaiah and Rayadurgam MLA K. Ramachandra Reddy met the protesters at the gate and assured them that the government would look into the matter.

Later, CPI(M) district secretary Rambhupal along with SFI State secretary K. Ramesh and DYFI district secretary K. Anjaneyulu met the protesters and extended their support to them.
