Former Minister J. C. Diwakar Reddy is upset with PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana for his reported remark that he was free to leave the party instead of criticising the leadership and attributing motives.
Mr. Reddy, who had launched a trenchant attack on YSR Congress chief Jaganmohan Reddy, alleging match-fixing between him and the Congress leadership, reportedly telephoned the PCC chief to enquire about the flood situation in North Coastal Andhra.
Mr. Satyanarayana is said to have questioned him on the need to drag party president Sonia Gandhi into the controversy. “If you want to leave the party, you are free to do so. But, there is no need for you to make such remarks,” he was quoted as saying.

Mr. Reddy shot back at Mr. Satyanarayana saying that none had the right to ask him to leave the party and asked whether he could deny the fact that Congress had not colluded with Mr. Jagan.
Mr. Satyanarayana said it was not proper to allege that there was match-fixing.
The former Minister has of late been critical of the central leadership after the CWC’s decision to divide the State.

He lashed out at the leadership for leaving in lurch the party men in Seemandhra region after its announcement on division of the State.
Later in the day, the PCC chief denied that he had spoken to anyone on the issue.
