Bharatiya Janata Party’s national spokesperson, Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday joined issue with Priyanka Gandhi saying that the opposition was raising issues relating to corruption and misuse of power and not family matters.
At a press conference here, he said Ms. Priyanka criticised the opposition parties asking why they were raising the issue of her husband Robert Vadra and claimed that it was a personal family matter. Denying her charge, he said the Congress, on the other hand, was attacking BJP prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi on personal issues.
He said Ms. Priyanka’s comments were nothing but hypocrisy. “For them, family is the party and they don’t have vision beyond the party. People are not tolerating loot any more”, he added.

Mr. Javadekar said people want to know how the BJP, if elected to power, would provide jobs for youth in Seemandhra and Telangana. “BJP has a full plan. We will invest heavily into public infrastructure, which includes irrigation, housing, roads and railways”. He said that BJP has a plan to impound half of the 3000 tmc ft of water which goes as waste into the sea and as a result irrigation could be provided to 50 lakh hectares in both Seemandhra and Telangana.
He said that a push to the housing sector would give a momentum to 42 industries like cement and steel. Another focus area would be skill development. He said while Congress merely coined slogans, BJP would implement its plans. “They have no vision and modern solutions. We have innovation”, he added.
