The Jana Sena would never merge with any other party, said its president Pawan Kalyan and asserted that it was a regional party for namesake but it was committed to national integration and would treat every Indian as an equal citizen.

Addressing a meeting of party workers from the Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency, at Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said he started raising his voice against the injustices in society when the party came into existence in 2014 and he was committed to taking up cudgels on behalf of the people irrespective of the outcome of elections.

He was not bent on becoming Chief Minister, which should happen in the natural course. It would be possible only when JSP cadres help in solving the people’s problems by setting aside their personal agendas, he said.
