Jagan’s roadshow to woo Kalinga community

YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will tour Palasa and Tekkali on Thursday which are dominated by Kalinga community. He will conduct roadshows in Palasa from 10 am to 4 pm and later address public in Tekkali at 4.30 pm.

Mr. Reddy’s road show assumed significance as he carefully selected Kalinga community dominated areas for his Janabheri programme. Recently, two former MPs Kaniti Viswanatham and Hanumanthu Appayyadora of Kalinga community left the party opposing the entry of former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao into the party though they did not have significant differences with the party high command. Both the leaders have significant influence in those constituencies. In this backdrop, Mr.Reddy wanted to please the community which has around 2.3 lakh votes in the district. . He will conclude his tour after visiting Itchapuram on Friday.

The party Srikakulam Parliamentary wing observer Koyya Prasada Reddy exuded confidence that that the YSR chief's tour will improve prospectus of MPTC and ZPTC candidates in the area also.
