Jagan yatra crosses 1,000-km mark

The Leader of the Opposition shares his feelings with people in a tweet

Special occasion: Supporters break coconuts as YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is undertaking padayatra, completes 1,000 km, at Sydapuram in Nellore district on Monday.

As his ongoing ‘Praja sankalpa yatra’ crossed the 1,000-km mark, Leader of the Opposition and YCRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday shared his feelings in a tweet to his sympathisers, followers, party activists and the people of Andhra Pradesh.

“The 1,000-km mark. Each step I take makes me aware of your affection and support. I have seen the love & respect for Dr.YSR, and felt your pain, anger and distrust towards the current Govt. Your blessings strengthen my resolve to continue,” his tweet said.

To mark this occasion, Mr. Reddy unveiled a pylon that was erected by the party leaders at Sydapuram mandal headquarters here.

On the 74th day of his yatra, Mr. Reddy had covered Gudur town outskirts, Goginenipuram, Chennur, Venkatagiri cross roads, Thurpupoondla cross roads and Sydapuram.

At several places, Mr. Reddy reached out to greet the passengers travelling in buses and also gave opportunity for taking ‘selfie’ with sympathisers.

In a bid to pep up the ongoing yatra, the YCRCP leaders here ensured that the completion of 1,000-km of yatra would become a memorable one for them to cherish these memories for a long time.

A large mobilisation of activists was witnessed to mark the occasion.
