YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has ridiculed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for raising the curtains to “dirty politics” ahead of the ensuing elections.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy crossed the 900-km milestone on Sunday, the 67th day of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, in the Srikalahasti constituency of Chittoor district.
Speaking at a public meeting organised at Srikalahasti, he flayed the Chief Minister for diluting the State’s interests for the sake of his “selfish ends.”

On Mr. Naidu’s recent announcement to fight it out in the court of law on the promises made at the time of bifurcation, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy dubbed it as a “futile war cry” against the Centre.
The YSRCP president came down heavily on the Chief Minister for raising a volley of queries against the Centre after having failed to question it on the State’s rightful share during the last four years.
“After being party to bifurcation and pledging the State’s interest on the Special Category Status (SCS), Mr. Naidu has now announced to knock on doors of justice. Who will he fight the case against?” he wondered. He flayed the TDP Ministers at the Centre for failing to achieve anything tangible and continuing in the Union Cabinet.

Mr. Jagan raised the issue of “neglect” suffered by the NTPC-BHEL Power Project Limited (NBPPL) located in the constituency, and said that the ₹6,000-crore project was being sidelined for the only reason that it was sanctioned by the former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
