Jagan has crossed all limits: KEK

‘The Opposition leader should realise his stature before speaking against Naidu’

On the offensive: Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy addressing the media in Kurnool on Saturday.

The people of Nandyal were of the opinion that the Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was speaking like a terrorist, Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishnamurthy alleged on Saturday.

Asking Mr. Jagan to state why Mr. Naidu should be shot or hanged, he accused him of crossing all the limits.

“Decisions are taken by the State Cabinet and not Mr. Naidu alone,” he told the media in Kurnool, and asked Mr. Jagan to state if the entire State Cabinet should be hanged.

He advised the YSR Congress president to realise his stature before speaking against Mr. Naidu.

The people were amused as Mr. Jagan, who was facing cases of corruption, was speaking of morals, Mr. Krishnamurthy asserted.

As Mr. Jagan cannot grow politically on a par with Mr. Naidu, he was denigrating the latter, he alleged.

Factional politics

Referring to Mr. Jagan’s reply to notices served by the Election Commission, Mr. Krishnamurthy wondered if anybody could go scot free by apologising after committing a murder.

Accusing Mr. Jagan of inheriting the factional politics of his grandfather Y.S. Raja Reddy, the Deputy Chief Minister said his close aides included red sanders smuggler K. Gangi Reddy, Mangali Krishna and Moddu Sreenu.

Mr. Jagan declared that his MPs would quit if SCS was not granted to the State, but later prostrated before the Prime Minister and stopped taking about the SCS.

Instead of lauding Mr. Naidu, the Opposition party leader was asking why he was developing the Nandyal constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister said.

Asserting that Mr. Naidu fulfilled 70% of his promises and work was under way on the proposed airport and industries at Orvakal, cement factory at Koilkuntla, Urdu university and IIIT, he said eight pumps were ready at the Muchumarri lift irrigation scheme to release water when the Srisailam reservoir level increased.

Urging the people to elect TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, he said they were free to take an appropriate decision in the 2019 elections.

Terming Mr. Jagan as an immature leader, he advised him to not imagine that he would become Chief Minister for a 30-year period.

The TDP would win the Nandyal seat by a majority of 50,000 votes, he asserted.

District TDP president Somisetty Venkateswarlu said he and APIDC chairman K.E. Prabhakar lodged a complaint with the police in Nandyal alleging kidnap of TDP activists who were verifying the voters’ list.
