Former Minister and BJP State Seva Saptaham convener Ravela Kishore Babu alleged that the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government was ruining the State’s economy with ‘wrong’ policies. He feared that the entire State would be under a financial crisis if corrective steps with regard to policies were not taken immediately.

Mr. Kishore Babu is on a visit to Vizianagaram and Srikakulam to oversee the charitable activities being taken up under Seva Saptaham, which is being observed throughout the nation in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

The Hindu that investors would not prefer Andhra Pradesh as their destination due to the lack of clarity over Amaravati capital region and absence of consistency in policies.

State’s development would suffer due to the reversal of many policies with regard to the Polavaram project, power purchase agreements and other issues. “There may not be an improvement in tax revenue when economic activity is slow in the State,” said Mr. Kishore Babu.

‘BJP will rise in A.P.’

Mr. Kishore Babu felt that attacks on BJP activists might continue since the existing parties would try not to allow the BJP to develop at the grassroots. “We have become a strong force in many North Eastern States. BJP could get 18 MP seats in Bengal. As part of developing the party in A.P., the high command appointed a committee with 25 senior leaders. Their concerted work would certainly help BJP become a major force in Andhra Pradesh,” he added.
