‘Opposition parties should wake up to reality and not criticise the government blindly’

The resounding win in the by-election to Warangal Parliamentary seat is likely to provide additional arsenal to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the days to come, a wind of which was already given by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who is also the ruling party president, by stating that the people have rebutted all attempts of the Opposition to malign the government.

Hours after the formalities were completed in Warangal, the ruling party chief left no stone unturned to explain that it was a pro-performance vote for his government and the result of scaled-up welfare schemes implemented in the State.

“The Opposition parties tried to spoil the minds of people with half-truths and lies on all and sundry issues but the people supported us wholeheartedly”, he explained thanking the electorate for showing their reinforcing faith.

Mr. Rao suggested the Opposition parties wake up to the reality and not to criticise the government blindly, for the sake of criticism as the it had made sincere efforts to improve power supply position, to help farmers in every possible manner by giving inputs in time and making efforts to fill vacancies in the short span of 17 months.
