ITDA, APSSDC to train youth at Maredumilli

The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), in a bid to improve the life skills of tribal youth, has planned a month-long training programme from April 1 at Maredumilli Youth Training Center (YTC).

For this programme it has selected a local non-government organisation as a facilitator. Taking a few reporters from Rampachodavaram to Kotha Colony forest area near Maredumilli, ITDA Project Officer KVN Chakradhar Babu has stated that the tribals of this area were eking their livelihood through manufacture of cane and bamboo products in a traditional way.

The ITDA wishes to bring about some changes in the process of making of furniture or other articles so that they have better market. It also proposes to promote them in trade fairs at the national level and also create international market.
