Is Ganta among those joining BJP tomorrow?

BJP will welcome anyone entering its fold: MLC

Leaders from various political parties in Andhra Pradesh are expected to join the BJP at a meeting its national working president J.P. Nadda addresses in Vijayawada on November 10, according to MLC P.V.N. Madhav.

However, he had no information on whether former Minister and Visakhapatnam North MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao from the TDP was among those joining.

Mr. Madhav said the issue was being taken care of by the party leadership.

On whether Mr. Srinivasa Rao was planning to join the BJP in New Delhi, Mr. Madhav said that the BJP would welcome those entering its fold.

“Mr. Nadda will address 24,000 booth committee chairmen in Andhra Pradesh. With elections to the booth committees over, the ward and the district level elections will be conducted,” Mr. Madhav said.

Kishan Reddy’s visit

Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy will visit the city on November 12 and 13.

On the first day, he will have an ‘Atmeeya Sammelanam’ at the A1 Convention Centre. On November 13, he will participate in the Swachh Bharat programme on the beach.

Mr. Madhav said a number of important issues would come up for discussion during his visit.
