The Hydari Club headed by the Prakasam district Collector conducted a medical camp on Monday for the benefit of poor people with the retired Additional Joint Collector Shamsheer Ahamad and retired Tehsildar Banka Prakasha Rao taking the lead.

Inaugurating the camp, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Director B.Anjaiah lauded the initiative of the club members. Dr Anjaiah, a paediatrician, lamented that medical treatment had become out of reach for common people now.

A team of 14 doctors led by Dr Rayapati Prasad Rao examined over 200 people. Medicines were given free of cost to the needy patients.
