The health condition of 11 Telugu Desam MLAs deteriorated on the third day of their hunger strike against power tariff hike and shortage at the Old MLAs Quarters here.
The doctors twice carried out check-ups on all the 27 legislators who were fasting and found variations in the blood glucose levels of C.M. Ramesh, G. Jaipal Yadav, Satyavathi Rathod, D. Anasuya, G.V.S. Anjaneyulu, S. Soma, Sriram Rajagopal, S. Venkata Veeraiah, K. Sridhar and Kandula Narayana Reddy. It was stated that the police could shift them to hospital anytime.
TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu interacted with the fasting leaders by video conference during his padayatra in East Godavari district.

Former Minister Kadiam Srihari warned about intensification of the agitation if the government did not respond to bail out the power crisis. He criticised leaders who ridiculed the hunger strike.
CPI MLA lauds Naidu
Meanwhile, CPI MLA K. Sambasiva Rao who visited the hunger strike camp praised Mr. Naidu’s ability to put the State back on course of development if TDP returned to power.

He told media persons that he could not hazard alliances for next elections but said Mr. Naidu was an efficient leader who was committed to development. Such leaders were the need of the hour in politics.
