HDC hikes rates in pay wards

Emphasising the need for better facilities and treatment to the poor at the government hospitals, the Government Hospitals Development Committee, at its meeting on Wednesday, fixed the rate for single bed room in pay wards in district headquarters hospital at Rs. 300 a day, double bed room Rs. 400 (Rs. 200 per bed), and single A/C bed room at Rs. 700 a day. The meeting, chaired by ZP Chairperson Sobha Swati Rani, resolved to extend the services of contract employees to March next year.

Further, keeping shortage of anaesthetists in Gosha Hospital where institutional deliveries are more, Collector M.M. Naik asked the DM & HO to allot two anaesthetists from National Rural Health Mission.
