Ganapati Mahayagam performed at temple

Srikakulam wore a festive look on Sunday with the series of religious activities including yagams and special prayers in various temples such as Sampath Vinayak temple in Manguvari Thota, Sri Sri Mutyalamma temple in Dammala Street and others. Sampath Vinayak temple trust board members Konda Rambabu and Ch. Malhari Devi performed Lakshmi Ganapati Mahayagam in the temple.

Silver makara toranam

The idol was adorned with silver makara toranam in the presence of whip Kuna Ravi Kumar and Srikakulam MLA Gunda Lakshmi Devi. Mr. Rambabu said local people were helping a lot for the development of the temple.

Weeklong celebrations

Mutyalamma temple trust board members said that special prayers will be offered to in the presence hundreds of devotees from Sunday as part of weeklong celebrations.

Srikakulam Additional Joint Collector P. Rajanikantha Rao, Srikakulam Revenue Divisional Officer B. Dayanidhi and other officials reviewed the arrangements for ‘Sirimanotsavams’ to be performed in various temples. They sought the Police Department’s support in controlling traffic as celebrations would continue for the next fortnight.
