People at several flooded villages on the banks in Khammam, Warangal and Karimnagar districts and island habitations in East Godavari and West Godavari districts were relieved on Sunday when the Godavari river level fell in its entire stretch in the State.
The outflow from Dowleswaram barrage dwindled to 13 lakh cusecs. Inflows reaching the projects across the Krishna river in the State too began to recede.
AP Genco began to operate the right bank powerhouse of Srisailam dam at full capacity, 770-MW, contributing over 10 million units for the day to the grid. Inflows to Srisailam was steady at 3.3 lakh cusecs.

Water level in Srisailam dam stood at 867 ft compared to its full mark of 885 ft. About 22,000 cusecs of water was being released through power generation to Nagarjunasagar in which the storage was available up to 522 ft now (full level 590 ft).
Rains subside
Meanwhile, heavy rains subsided in the State as the monsoon ceased to be active. There was isolated to moderate rain for the day - Peddapuram 4 cm, Chilamattur 2 cm and Nagarjunasagar one cm.
