A foot-board passenger on the Benguluru-Chennai Lalbagh Express was attacked by an unidentified man near Kuppam railway station on Sunday morning. The attack took place when the victim, Mohammad Basha (30) from Katpadi was sitting on the foot-board, talking on his mobile phone. The passenger fell from the slowly moving train along with his mobile phone. The stranger reportedly fled with the mobile phone. Basha was admitted to a Kuppam hospital, and is reportedly out of danger. Raliway police are investigating the incident.
