‘Fear prompting YSRC to take complaint route’

June 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:44 am IST - KURNOOL:

The YSRC is filing complaints with the Election Commission against the TDP fearing defeat in the MLC polls, TDP member and MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said on Sunday.

He accused YSRC chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy of joining hands with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao in a bid to safeguard his assets in Hyderabad.

“Mr. Rao and Mr. Reddy will not succeed in their attempts to implicate Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in any case,” he said.

Resenting Mr. Rao’s opposition to the Pattiseema project, Mr. Reddy said that the project was conceived on the water flowing into the sea, and that its completion would augment the irrigation and drinking water supply in the Rayalaseema region.

Meanwhile, TDP Dhone constituency in-charge K.E. Pratap accused YSRC leaders of spreading malefic propaganda that the TDP cadre was abducting YSRC members. “MPTC members are extending support to the TDP impressed with the party’s commitment to development,” he added.

TDP Observer and former Minister P. Samanthakamani said Congress and YSRC leaders were criticising the TDP, as they could not digest the growing support to the TDP from local body representatives.
