Ex-MP seeks white paper on Central funds

Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has demanded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu release a white paper on the funds allocated to Andhra Pradesh by the Centre in the last one year.

Addressing a media conference here on Monday he said the Central allocation was Rs.10,142 crore, including aid for Hudhud cyclone relief, constructing new Capital near Tulluru, Polavaram project and also to fill the fiscal deficit.

He said Opposition leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has every right to pose questions on behalf of the people as his party was given mandate as principal opposition.

Mr. Arun Kumar alleged that Chandrababu is not acting like the Chief Minister, but as TDP president and observed that he was hesitating to demand the power bill to the tune of Rs. 4,000 crore from Telangana to protect the TDP interests in that State.

Nightmare

Terming the bifurcation of the State as a nightmare, he said the conditions have become worse in AP due to the misrule of the TDP government.

He questioned the Chief Minister on building capital city when Hyderabad was declared as common capital for 10 years.
