Ex-MP seeks Rs. 50,000-cr. package for Rayala, Nellore

Criticising the State government for neglecting schemes and packages initiated by the previous government, former MP and senior Congress leader Chinta Mohan on Monday, sought a special package of Rs.50,000 crore for comprehensive development of Rayalaseema and Nellore districts.

Accompanied by party activists, Dr. Mohan took part in a rally from the Sri Krishnadevaraya statue to Ambedkar statue near RTC Bus Stand. He criticised Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for negligence in implementing projects such as Dugarajapatnam port and housing project (7,000 houses) sanctioned for the poor living in the temple city.

Dr. Mohan also faulted the State government on the construction of capital city and demanded that the government float international tenders to ensure transparency.
