56 lakh bogus voters in AP, TS: Bhanwarlal

Chief Election Officer Bhanwarlal has said that as many as 56 lakh bogus voters has been found in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and steps will be initiated on a war-footing to eliminate them. He was on a personal visit to Madanapalle on Saturday night. Speaking to the media, he said that enrolment of new voters would commence in both States from November 1 to 4 and all those who had completed the age of 18 would be sensitized to get them registered. A provision would also be made for rectification of errors in the voter cards. All the officials involved in the enrolment process had been instructed to be present at the booths from November 1 to 4 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The new voters list would be released on January 11, 2016. Similarly, the voter IDs would be distributed to people from January 25 next year, coinciding with the National Voters’ Day.

On Sunday morning, Mr. Banwarlal had darshan of Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy at Kanipakkam temple near Chittoor.
