‘Quality education being imparted to youngsters in social welfare hostels’

Accompanied by election observers and district officials, District Collector Kartikeya Misra participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of B.R. Ambedkar held in the city on Sunday.

Addressing a meeting after garlanding the Ambedkar’s statue at Indrapalem Junction, Mr. Misra said that the district was ahead in implementing welfare programmes meant for the scheduled castes, scheduled tribe and the backward classes. He said that quality education was being imparted to the youngsters in the social welfare hostels and support was being given to those who were evincing interest in self-employment.

Election observers G.C. Pandya, H.C. Modi and district officials were present. The birth anniversary celebrations were held at the Collectorate, JNTUK, PR Government Degree College and various private educational institutions in the city during the day.
