Distribute swine flu medicines in villages, doctors told

Government Whip and Rajampet MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy on Saturday directed Medical and Health personnel to visit villages and distribute swine flu preventive medicines to people.

He distributed homoeopathic preventive medicine for swine flu in the government hospital at Nandalur. Stating that swine flu was dangerous, he said those affected could spread it when they cough and sneeze. “Wearing masks, personal hygiene and frequently washing clothes were important to ward off swine flu,” he said.

Mr. Reddy told doctors and paramedical staff of the Nandalur Government Hospital to distribute swine flu preventive medicine free of charge to all patients. He said he would inspect all government hospitals and monitor the functioning of doctors and paramedical staff.

Dr. Shameera Banu, Nandalur mandal president Padmaja and party leaders Meda Vijayabhaskara Reddy, Lakshmi Devi, Priyanka and Yeddala Sagar were present.

Meanwhile, BJP leader Bandi Prabhakar and party activists distributed swine flu preventive medicines at Sriramnagar Colony in Kadapa on Saturday.
