Thirteen months after Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives exploded two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at Dilsukhnagar, the jigsaw puzzle of the terror attack was nearly solved with the arrest of another absconding accused, Tehseen Akthar alias Monu, by Delhi special police on Tuesday.
With the fresh arrest close on the heels of catching Waqas, a Pakistani accused of involvement in several terror attacks in the country, including the Dilsukhnagar blast, the number of those arrested has gone up to four. Yasin Bhatkal and Asadullah Akthar alias Haddi, both connected to the incident, were held six months ago.
However, Riyaz Bhatkal, accused of masterminding these terror strikes while operating from abroad, is still at large.

Haddi, Waqas and Monu played crucial role in executing the blasts here on February 21, 2013, killing 17 persons and injuring scores of others. Haddi, along with Waqas, left for Mangalore five months before the attack.
At the behest of Riyaz Bhatkal, he prepared a sketch for the terror strike and received explosive material sent by the former through an unidentified person.
Nearly a fortnight before the attack, the duo came to Hyderabad and met Monu, already in city and the trio did a reconnaissance of Malakpet, Abids and Dilsukhagar to identify potential blast sites. Haddi and Waqas lived in a rented portion of Monu at Abdullapurmet near Ramoji Film City.

Trio buys old bicycle
A day before the attack, the trio purchased an old bicycle from a mechanic in old Malakpet and parked the bicycle at the railway station nearby.
On February 21 morning, Haddi and Monu purchased the second bicycle and kept it at the same station. Monu vacated the rented portion informing the house owner that his mother was unwell .
The two IEDs prepared by Waqas were strapped to the bicycles. While Waqas took one bicycle to Dilsukhnagar bus-stop, Monu took the second one to A1 Mirchi centre.
