‘Digitisation of land records almost complete’

The process of digitalising land records has been completed to the extent of 98% and the annual ‘Jamabandi’ now turned into a monthly affair, according to Anil Chandra Punetha, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.

During his visit to the city on Tuesday, Mr. Punetha inaugurated a garden developed on the Collectorate premises after garlanding the statue of renowned bureaucrat S.R. Shankaran there. Speaking to the media, he said that there was no scope for tampering with the land records after the advent of online process. Mr. Punetha called upon the public to make a better use of the Mee-Seva and other services. He congratulated the district administration for maintaining cleanliness and greenery on the Collectorate premises. Collector Kartikeya Misra, Joint Collectors A. Mallikarjuna and J. Radhakrishna Murthy and other officials were present.
