October 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - TIRUMALA:

Director-General of Police (DGP) J.V. Ramudu on Saturday took stock of the security arrangements at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara where the annual Navaratri Brahmotsavams were under way.

The police chief oversaw the security a day ahead of the auspicious Garuda Seva, coinciding with the arrival of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to the city on Sunday.

Taking part in the Kalpavriksha Vahanam Seva along with Additional DGP R.P. Tahkur, the DGP went round the temple complex and supervised the security arrangements. Besides inspecting the police control room set up in front of the Ram Bagicha guest houses, he also monitored the functioning of the surveillance cameras installed at the vantage points.
