Veteran film director Dasari Narayana Rao said he will expose some facts about the Telugu film industry and its personalities, which are unknown to the outside world so far, through his forthcoming book.

Mr. Rao’s comments assume some significance since he is known to have differences with some top personalities of the Telugu film industry.

Speaking after releasing a book titled ‘Basha tho Nenu’ written by Suresh Krishna, who directed a few films of Rajinikanth including

Basha , in the Andhra Pradesh Film Chambers here on Thursday he said there was no reliable reference information on many ‘stalwarts’ of the Telugu industry.

The book on which he was working for the last five years would be an attempt towards that direction. However, it was not meant to hurt anybody, he noted.

The director of over 100 films said Mr. Rajinikanth was a personality who would be remembered as long as the film industry was alive and there was no greater stardom than the one achieved by him. “All film industries have accepted him as the superstar and I have been a witness to his greatness,” Mr. Rao said about Mr. Rajinikanth.

“I have given opportunities to some who were willing to do even small roles, but some of them hesitate even to wish me now,” Mr. Rao, who transformed the careers of several Telugu film personalities, said. On the other hand, Mr. Rajinikanth is down to earth despite being a top hero, he stated.

Privileged lot

Besides, there are some individuals who were born with a golden spoon but don’t know anything about film technology. Those who do not know about story boarding were talking about it as if others need to learn from them, Mr. Rao remarked.
