All India Students Federation (AISF) activists on Thursday staged protests in front of several private educational institutions, accusing the later of flouting rules pertaining to admission process.
AISF district general secretary Naresh said that many of corporate schools such as Narayana, Chaitanya , Kesava Reddy schools and Ravindra Bharati school had already started classes, violating the rules that say that no school shall start admission process before June.
The otherwise peaceful protests at various schools in Anantapur turned violent at Narayana school, with the activists exchanging heated arguments with the school management. The protesters damaged some furniture at the school too. They demanded that the ongoing classes be suspended amd the students be sent home. Tirupati Staff Reporter adds: Flaying the policies envisaged by NDA government, AISF national president Vali Ullah Khadri alleged that the Narendra Modi-led Central government was serving the private sector rather than common man.
