The Pulivendula police on Sunday nabbed four persons, including a constable, and recovered 1.5 kg of brown sugar from them, after intercepting an SUV in which they were travelling on the ring road. The vehicle was also seized. According to Pulivendula Additional SP Anbu Rajan, a special team, acting on a tip-off, waylaid the vehicle and nabbed the four, including a constable, Ramkumar, attached to Vallur police station. The three others - Siva, Sivayya and Mustafa - hailed from Kadapa district. The contraband was valued at Rs. 35 lakh.
