Constable on duty dies

Heera Singh (45), a constable attached to the Patancheru police station and deputed for election duty at Kondapur police station in the constituency, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed while on duty. He breathed his last while being shifted to the Sangareddy government hospital. He was a native of Kollapally village in Peddashankarampet mandal. A report would be sent to the Election Commission in this regard and compensation would be paid to the bereaved family in addition providing job on compassionate grounds to a member of the family at a latter stage, Collector D Ronald Rose said.
