Complaints in 1,200 police stations

Former Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jayasuryaprakash Reddy and Congress leaders filed a complaint in Kurnool III Town police station on Monday against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accusing them of criminal breach of trust by backtracking from their pre-poll promises.

A CD containing the speeches of the three leaders promising special category status, special package and other issues and a copy of the BJP election manifesto were also enclosed.

Similar complaints would be filed over the next two days in all the 82 police stations in Kurnool district against the PM, Union Minister and the Chief Minister on the directive of PCC President N. Raghuveera Reddy, Mr. Ramaiah said. Cases would be filed in police stations in Adoni, Mantralayam and Yemmiganur constituencies on Tuesday and in Nandyal, Allagadda and Banaganapalle on Wednesday, he added.

In all, Congressmen would file complaints in over 1,200 police stations in the State, Mr. Jayasuryaprakash Reddy said.
