Collector reviews Sirimanotsavam arrangements

Anticipating a huge turnout of devotees for ‘Tholellu’ and ‘Sirimanotsavam’ of Sri Pydithalli Ammavaru on October 2 and October 3 and Vizianagar Utsav on October 1 and October 2 respectively, Collector Vivek Yadav said arrangements were being made to conduct them in an orderly manner.

At a review meeting with officials from Revenue, Police and Endowments at the temple complex on Tuesday, Mr. Yadav said that in addition to free darshan, limited number of special darshan tickets in the denomination of ₹100 and ₹300 per head would be sold through Canara Bank at New Poorna Branch, Syndicate Bank at Three Lamps Junction, and APGVB, Gurajada Street, between September 29 and October 1.

Devotees possessing darshan tickets would be permitted to have darshan from 11am and from 4pm on October 2 and from 3am to 7am on October 3. Elected representatives and other VVIPs would be allowed for darshan from 8am to 10am. Separate queue lines for physically challenged and senior citizens were being arranged. The Collector asked municipal officials, R & B, and APTransco to ensure sanitation, barricading, and uninterrupted power supply .
